Natasha Garcia Andersen

I am a wildlife biologist in Washington, DC and the current president of the Apiary Inspectors of America (AIA). I manage the beekeeping program for the District of Columbia where I work closely with beekeepers to ensure that honey bees are kept in accordance with the regulations. In my role as the president of AIA I work with other apiary inspectors in the United States and Canada to share ideas and collaborate on projects to promote honey bee health and safeguard them from pests and disease.
