Jorge Spiteri

Currently, Vice President for promotion and international cooperation and executive board member of the European Beekeeping Association representing the Malta Beekeepers’ Association and and administrator for the MaYA Foundation. He is the official representative for the Environment and Animal Welfare Voluntary Organisations on the Malta Council for the Voluntary Sector. Qualified as an Architect and Civil Engineer, master of knowledge based entrepreneurship and following an Apitherapy course. He was always at the forefront working on the conservation local honey bee Apis mellifera ruttneri. Collaboration with other organisations and key individuals was established for the awareness of the importance of the honey bee in its ecosystem and for sustainable practices throughout. He is the national representative of the International Centre for Young Beekeepers.
