| About | I’m Asia Piovesan and I come from Italy. After a bachelor degree in biology and a master degree in ecotoxicology and environmental sustainability I started in January 2023 my PhD at the Institute of Bee Health (Bern). The main topic of my research is population genetics of wild bees in Switzerland, with a particular focus on bumblebees and solitary bees (Osmia spp.). Actually I’m studying how different types of land management influence the genetic of populations of Osmia cornuta and Osmia bicornis in different areas of Switzerland. I’m also interested in beekeeping and actually I’m practising with another member of my team. |
